By accessing the Website, creating an order, purchasing a product, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website or purchase our products.

1. ABOUT THE DOG BOOK

The Dog Book creates and sells design and collector books dedicated to dogs and individual dog breeds.

Our books are artistic and editorial products intended for entertainment, decorative, educational, and general informational purposes. They are not intended to constitute veterinary, medical, breeding, training, or other professional advice.

Product photographs, mockups, illustrations, descriptions, dimensions, colors, materials, finishes, and other information displayed on the Website are intended to provide an accurate representation of our products. However, minor variations may occur as a result of printing, manufacturing, binding, photography, screen settings, or production processes.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ORDERS

By placing an order through the Website, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing or technical errors, product unavailability, payment issues, or misuse of the Website.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected and before the applicable product has been shipped, the amount paid for the cancelled product will be refunded.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices are displayed on the Website and may vary depending on the customer's location, currency, applicable taxes, shipping destination, promotions, or other factors.

The final amount payable by the customer, including applicable shipping charges and any taxes collected by us, will be displayed during checkout before the order is submitted.

We reserve the right to modify our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted and paid for, except where correction of an obvious pricing or technical error is permitted by applicable law.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

4. PRE-ORDERS

Certain books may be offered for sale before they are available for immediate shipment. These products will be identified as “Pre-Order” products on the Website.

Unless otherwise indicated on the relevant product page or at checkout, pre-order products have an estimated delivery timeframe of approximately 8 to 12 weeks.

This timeframe is an estimate and may be affected by printing, production, manufacturing, freight, customs, fulfillment, carrier delays, or other circumstances.

Where applicable law requires us to obtain your consent to a delay beyond a previously stated shipping timeframe, we will notify you and provide you with the applicable options, which may include accepting the revised timeframe or cancelling the affected order for a refund.

Purchasing a pre-order product means that the customer understands that the product is not immediately available and agrees to the estimated fulfillment timeframe disclosed at the time of purchase.

If an order contains both pre-order and immediately available products, the products may be shipped together or separately at our discretion unless otherwise stated during checkout.

5. REGULAR ORDERS

Books that are available for regular purchase are generally expected to be delivered within approximately one (1) week, unless a different estimated timeframe is indicated on the product page or during checkout.

Delivery and shipping times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, shipping service, customs procedures, carrier operations, weather events, and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where applicable law gives a customer specific rights because an order cannot be shipped within a represented timeframe, those rights will apply.

6. WORLDWIDE SHIPPING

The Dog Book ships to destinations worldwide where shipping services are available.

Available shipping methods, shipping prices, and any applicable delivery information are presented during checkout based on the customer's delivery address.

Shipping charges are calculated and disclosed before the customer completes the purchase.

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, handling fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country or local authorities.

Unless expressly stated at checkout that such charges are included, customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or similar charges imposed upon importation.

The Dog Book is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, border inspections, local authorities, or shipping carriers.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer may be charged to the customer to the extent permitted by law.

7. DELIVERY

Delivery dates and times displayed on the Website or provided following an order are estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed.

Once an order has been shipped, customers may receive tracking information where tracking is available.

Risk of loss and title to products will transfer in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the applicable shipping arrangement.

Customers should promptly notify us if an order appears to have been lost or materially delayed so that we can investigate the shipment with the applicable carrier.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights a customer may have under applicable law concerning products that are not delivered.

8. RETURNS

We want customers to be satisfied with their Dog Book purchase.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, a customer may request to return a book within seven (7) calendar days after receiving the book.

To qualify for a discretionary return, the book must be returned in its original condition, without damage, stains, marks, writing, torn pages, excessive handling, or other deterioration.

The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product to us unless the product was defective, damaged upon arrival, incorrect, or applicable law requires otherwise.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning a product. We are not responsible for a customer return that is lost before being received by us.

A return must be requested within the seven-day return period. Return instructions and the applicable return address will be provided after the return request is accepted.

9. REFUNDS

Except where otherwise required by applicable law, return requests made more than seven (7) calendar days after delivery will not be accepted and the sale will be considered final.

For an eligible return, the refund will generally be processed after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable for discretionary returns unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer for discretionary returns.

Refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.

Nothing in this return policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived, including applicable rights relating to defective, damaged, incorrect, misrepresented, or undelivered products.

10. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

If you receive a product that is materially damaged, defective, or different from the product you ordered, please contact us promptly after discovering the issue.

We may request reasonable evidence, including photographs of the product and packaging, to allow us to evaluate the issue and make a claim with the shipping provider where appropriate.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may offer a replacement, refund, or other appropriate remedy.

Normal minor variations associated with printing, paper, binding, color reproduction, or manufacturing do not necessarily constitute a defect.

11. CANCELLATIONS

Orders are processed as quickly as possible.

A request to cancel or modify an order is not guaranteed once the order has entered processing, production, fulfillment, or shipment.

Nothing in this section limits cancellation rights that may apply under mandatory consumer protection laws, including rights applicable when we are unable to ship an order within a promised timeframe.

12. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All products are subject to availability.

We may discontinue products, editions, designs, covers, formats, or other product variations at any time.

If we are unable to fulfill an order, we may cancel the affected portion of the order and issue an appropriate refund.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Website and its contents, including but not limited to book designs, layouts, covers, text, graphics, illustrations, photographs owned or licensed by us, logos, trademarks, product names, videos, advertising materials, website design, and other creative materials, are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by law or with our prior written authorization, you may not reproduce, copy, distribute, publish, modify, sell, license, commercially exploit, scrape, download for commercial purposes, or create derivative works from our Website or proprietary content.

Purchasing a book does not transfer any intellectual property rights in the content or design of that book.

Books purchased through The Dog Book are for personal use, collection, gifting, or lawful resale of the physical copy. Purchase does not grant a right to reproduce or commercially exploit the contents of the book.

14. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Certain photographs, artwork, trademarks, names, or other materials appearing in our books or on our Website may belong to third parties and may be used under license, permission, or other applicable rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental actions, labor disruptions, transportation interruptions, carrier failures, port congestion, customs delays, epidemics, pandemics, shortages, manufacturing interruptions, or failures of telecommunications or technology infrastructure.

This provision does not eliminate any refund, cancellation, or other consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

22. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

Because The Dog Book sells products internationally, customers may benefit from mandatory consumer protection rights in their country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted by contract.

Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection law applicable to a particular transaction, the mandatory law will prevail to the extent of that conflict.

To the extent legally permitted, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.

Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of protections or jurisdictional rights that cannot legally be waived.
